Samsung, IPhone and LG: one by one, the cell phone models on which WhatsApp stops working

WhatsApp made an important announcement that you should be aware of. It is that from May 31 the most famous application to communicate with friends, family and co-workers will stop working on some phones.

In this way, changes are coming to the Meta messaging platform that will cause many users to lose their access to the app. As happens every month, WhatsApp will have a server update that will leave more than 20 cell phone models without access to their services. The changes will affect those who have not purchased a mobile device in recent years.

From the official WhatsApp website, it is reported that the cell phones that will not have the app as of the last day of this month will be those that still work with a disused operating system. For example, in the case of Android, you must have Android 4.1 or higher. Cell phone models that will not enjoy WhatsApp are those with Android Apple Pie, Banana Bread, Cupcake 1.5, Donut 1.6, Eclair 2.0, Froyo 2.2, Gingerbread 2.3, Honeycomb 3.0, Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0.

As for the iPhone, you must have iOS 10 onwards. Previous models will not be able to access WhatsApp normally. In this sense, the iPhone cell phones that will not have WhatsApp are those that have iOS 9 and below. But there is more: cell phones with KaiOS 2.5.0, JioPhone and JioPhone 2 will be left without the service.
