Samsung Galaxy Tab A9+ review: a leap forward in the entry-level market

Like the majority of entry-level tablets, the Galaxy Tab A9+ is sober. Just like its predecessor, it has a single back module composed of an 8 megapixel sensor, the lens of which opens at f/2.

Module principal : 8 Mpx, f/2

This configuration being intended for additional uses, the Tab A9+ is clearly not intended to replace a standard camera or the majority of current smartphones.

During the day, the rendering is nevertheless a little more readable than on competitors, without excelling. If the colors are a little more vivid, the details are smoothed due to very present digital noise, while the small elements are difficult to reproduce. At night, on the other hand, although we can distinguish the scene, the result is difficult to use. The fault is digital noise that is too present and blurs right up to the center of the image, although it is the most readable. The smallest items lose their colors as they pass.

On the front, you also have to count on a 5 Mpx sensor and wide-angle optics opening at f/2.2. They have the merit of existing, but deliver selfies sorely lacking in sharpness, although this is sufficient for videoconferencing.
Note that on the video side, it is possible to film in Full HD 1080p at 30 fps. However, the result remains very average. The colors are grayish (filters are however offered), the perpetual focus and the video stabilization insufficient for a device whose format does not favor video capture.
