Samsung Galaxy S24+ – Test in heavy games (Genshin Impact, Arena Breakout…)

2024-02-02 22:00:00

We arrive this time with the second biggest and newest launch in Samsung’s S line. We have the S24 Plus in hand ready for testing and to find out if the new top of the line can do the job when it comes to games. So, comment below what you think of this new release and whether it’s worth it or not. And let’s go to the tests.

About the S24+

Launched in January 2024, the S24 Plus brings us an Exynos 2400 processor and an Xclipse 940 GPU, 12GB of RAM, and you can choose the version with 256 or 512 GB of internal storage.

On the screen side we have a 6.7″ inch Dynamic LTPO Amoled 2X display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 for your protection. 4900 mAh this is its battery capacity.

Currently its price is in the range of R$7,000.00 if you are going to round it up, but despite this it is still at a launch price and in a few months it will have an interesting reduction.

And as its rival in this test, we will have the S23 ultra and obviously in both tests the graphics will be at maximum.

Galaxy S24 Plus in heavy gaming test

Arena Breakout

Let’s start with Arena Breakout, as we don’t have tests for it on the S23 Ultra and so it leaves room for the games tested for a better comparison. On S24 Plus, Arena Breakout ran at an average of 59 Frames with 100% stability and a battery life of 2:45H. Great performance but unfortunately with low autonomy. And for the S24 Plus ✔️Smooth Wheel Seal✔️

CarX Street

Following the second game without testing on the S23 Ultra, CarX Street broke records on the S24 Plus running at an average of 49 Frames with 93% stability and 2:25H autonomy. This was the first time in the tests where CarX ran above 30 Frames, it was even strange to play it so fluidly, and will we have greater performance on the new cell phones or was it just an isolated case of the S24? In any case, the S24 Plus will receive the first ✔️Smooth Wheel Seal✔️ no CarX Street.

Farlight 84

Finally, we arrive at the last game on our list without comparison with S23. And Farlight 84 had a great performance, staying in the 108 average frames with a stability of 93% and an autonomy of 2:35H. And once again we have impeccable performance but with a short battery life. ????Competitive Roda Seal???? for the S24 Plus.

PUBG

In our Battle Royale the competition was fierce but the predecessor came out on top with just a few more frames. On the S24 Plus the performance was 87 Frames with 99% stability and an autonomy of 3:20H. While on the S23 Ultra there were 89 average frames with 96% stability. The new generation was a little behind in this one, but nothing very relevant. ????Competitive Roda Seal???? for both.

Free Fire

And when it comes to the famous Free Fire, once again we have a small difference in performance. On the S24 Plus we have an average of 59 Frames, 99% stability and an autonomy of 5:45. The S23 Ultra performed with an average of 60 Frames and 100% stability. ✔️Smooth Wheel Seal✔️ for both.

CoD Mobile

Two great cell phones with a lot of potential for high performance but unfortunately in Call of Duty this performance is limited and in the S24 Plus it ended up being too limited. In the new generation we had a performance of 40 Frames with 100% stability and an autonomy of 5:05H. On the S23 Ultra, there were 60 Frames with 100% stability. The game limited both, but with a difference of 20 Frames, making the S24 Plus have the ⚠️Selo Roda⚠️

Genshin Impact

The tests were carried out in one of the heaviest games nowadays and you can be sure that the gameplay here will be smooth. With the S24 Plus running at an average of 59 Frames with 99% stability and 3:20H battery life. The S23 Ultra continues with an average of 60 frames and 100% stability. Therefore, both receive the ✔️Smooth Wheel Seal✔️

Tower of Fantasy

When it comes to Tower of Fantasy, we had the second highest performance in this battery of tests and also the biggest difference between them. In S24 they were 71 average frames with 99% stability and a battery life of 2:05H. And on the S23 Ultra we have a performance of 86 Frames with a stability of 99%. Even if the difference is 15 Frames, both will have the ????Competitive Roda Seal????

Mortal Kombat

Mortal Kombat has been around since 1992, and the difference is that today the graphics are more realistic, you can carry it in your pocket and can run at more than 100 frames per second. As is the case with the S24 Plus with its 119 average frames with 100% stability and a battery life of 4:50H. And on the other hand we have the S23 Ultra with its 120 average frames with 100% stability. Once again they both go home with a ????Competitive Roda Seal????

Asphalt 9

There’s nothing to say when it comes to Asphalt 9, nothing too heavy, well optimized, good graphics. Obviously Samsung’s top of the line would do the job and they really do, but once again their true potential was cut off. The S24 ran at an average of 60 frames with 100% stability and an autonomy of 3:05H. While the S23 Ultra also scored its 60 Frames, at 100% stability. ✔️Smooth Wheel Seal✔️ for both.

Fortnite

And we come to our last game on the list, Fortnite had a great performance on both cell phones, each one having its own unique differences. On the S24 Plus, for example, there were 60 Frames on average with a minimum of 21 Frames, this drop occurs within the map rendering moments and then tends to remain higher. And on the S23 Ultra the average is 60 Frames with a minimum of just 55 Frames. Despite the regrets, the ✔️Smooth Wheel Seal✔️ for both.

Temperature

Tested games, let’s see how the S24 Plus performs after 1 hour of gameplay in the Call of Duty: Mobile battle royale, we’ll see how much it heats up and how much battery it loses.

And after this 1 hour we had a 9 degree increaseleaving at 27 and arriving at 36.

As for the 100% battery we ended up with 86%, it was a 14% loss.

Conclusion

As much as it is the new generation, it is undeniable that there is a difference between the Plus and Ultra versions, we opted for the S23 Ultra for a fairer fight and it still performed better in most games, even with just a few frames of difference. The S24 Plus didn’t do badly, it even broke the record in the most poorly optimized game we have, but it really leaves something to be desired in terms of autonomy. The S24 Plus is a great cell phone and will receive a Roda Competitivo Seal in the General Ranking.
