We recently talked regarding the new release from Samsung, the S23 series. We talked regarding how it is regarding the arrival of many new things and at the same time the maintenance of many others that have been with Samsung for years. Now, we were able to take a look at the new spearhead of the Korean brand, the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra.
let’s talk regarding design
The design of the S23 Ultra marks a milestone in the history of the S series and is that it is the first flagship that is almost identical to the previous generation, at least in aesthetic terms.
Each generation of Samsung differed from the previous one in a clear way, although maintaining a certain common language. This served to make the innovations of each model evident; however, it might play once morest maintaining the value of the phone that was replaced, since it was evident that it was not the new phone.
This changed somewhat with the S21 Ultra and S22 Ultra, but it’s already clear with the arrival of the S23 Ultra that it’s virtually identical to the S22 Ultra. Is that a problem? I don’t think so. If it ain’t broke, why fix it?
The design of the S23 Ultra keeps the straight lines of the S22 Ultra, but a little more polished, more defined. Starting, for example, with the screen, we have the same 6.8-inch Dynamic AMOLED panel with an adaptive refresh rate from 1 to 120 Hz, if you want to feel old, remember that the first Samsung Galaxy TAB was 7-inches (and it looked huge in 2010).
The white color of the model that we were able to test is matt and luckily it does not leave traces. Another thing is that it no longer slips as easily as previous generations (I’m talking regarding Galaxy S10).
The sound improves a lot and it has two stereo speakers that work together and integrate Dolby. We will talk regarding audio codecs in the full review.
Finally, the space for S-Pen remains as we have seen since the Note 20 Ultra. You just have to press and it comes out. How times change, talking regarding S-Pen on a Galaxy S.
What’s important is what’s inside
What has caused the most expectation of this generation of Galaxy is the processor. In this case we have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, but for the first time “For Samsung”, that is, the processor is optimized and customized for the hardware it works with, which should have a positive impact on things like photography. , the sound, the games but, above all, the battery.
The first reviews have already come out and various media report the full day, ending with 35% of the charge. In the review we can prove how true this is, but hopefully so.
A new processor optimized for this phone opens up a tremendous number of possibilities.
Finally in this first view. Battery life is important, but also the ability to charge it fast and luckily, Samsung has stopped calling 15W “fast charging” and is introducing 45W in the S23 Ultra.
We will talk shortly regarding other things, the cameras, of course, but also how it behaves in the world of gaming and content creation. Pay attention.
