According to sources in Samsung’s home country of Korea, the company has informed “major camera partners” that it plans to use a 200-megapixel camera in the next generation of its flagship. The currently used resolution of 108 megapixels debuted two years ago in the Galaxy S20 Ultra and will have three years on the (camera) hump by the time the S23 is launched.

Samsung would use that Motorola X30 Pro draw level, which was presented earlier this month. Rumor has it that Xiaomi will also deal with the upcoming 12T Pro move to similar dimensions. The competition takes over the image processing Samsung’s ISOCELL HP1 Sensor. Although the resolution might be the same, Samsung may use a new sensor for its own flagship.
