While the Samsung Galaxy S22 and S22 Plus hardly featured any innovations compared to their predecessors when they were released, the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra was a huge update with its S Pen compatibility. What should the Samsung Galaxy S23 be called?

There is a lot to suggest that Samsung’s new flagship smartphone will once once more bear the name Galaxy S in combination with the release year. This results in the name Samsung Galaxy S23. There will probably also be a standard version, the Samsung Galaxy S23, and a slightly larger Plus version, the Samsung Galaxy S23 Plus. Jörn Schmidt from “Schmidti’s Blog” even talks regarding one ten percent higher energy density. As a result, Samsung might finally catch up with other competitors like Apple, which offer noticeably better battery performance in their flagships.

200 megapixels: how good will the camera of the Samsung Galaxy S23 be?

The Samsung Galaxy S phones usually have excellent cameras. Samsung will certainly continue this tradition with the S23. According to the first rumours, the S23 should finally have the one already suspected for the S22 200 Megapixel Camera be installed. This is reported by the Korean site “ETNews”. According to this, Samsung is working on a 200 megapixel sensor, which is called Isocell HP3 and should already be in the S23. However, this is only a plan so far. Whether the implementation really works depends on factors such as the lenses, memory and chip of the new smartphone. So far there is no clear indication that the Samsung Galaxy S23 will receive a new chip. On the one hand, there are leakers who say that Samsung should switch to a MediaTek chip. On the other hand, the production of the in-house Exynos chip is said to have been stopped in order to be able to concentrate on the development of a better Galaxy chip. Finally, the cooperation with the manufacturer Qualcomm should also be considered. What innovations can we expect from the Galaxy S23 Ultra?

The Ultra device is already the largest, most expensive and most extensively equipped model among the current Galaxy S22 models. Accordingly, the expectations of the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra are of course very high. According to rumors, the top smartphone will not only finally get a camera with 200 megapixels, but will also be equipped with the powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor.

So far, hardly any details regarding the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra have been known. Now, however, the well-known Leaker Ice universe published fairly accurate information regarding the smartphone. Accordingly, the new model should hardly differ visually from its predecessor. With the dimensions 163.4 x 78.1 x 8.9 millimeters, the device should be almost as big as the S22 Ultra. The display would have a diagonal of 6.8 inches and a resolution of 3088 x 1440 pixels – just like its predecessor. The capacity of the battery should not be changed at 5000 mAh.
