A Samsung began releasing the security update for this month of February 2024 for the Galaxy M33. The update adds important corrections and its installation is highly recommended by the South Korean device manufacturer.
According to the SamMobile website, the update has the firmware version M336BUXXS6DXB1 and devices located in India are being updated. The expectation is that devices in other countries will also receive the update in the coming weeks.
The update changelog reveals that the update only brings fixes to the system. The February 2024 security patch has already been rolled out to several Galaxy devices in recent weeks and fixes a total of 72 software vulnerabilities.
To download the February update on a Galaxy M33, simply open the Settings app, select “Software update” and tap “Download and install”. Try the process a few times if the update doesn’t appear on the first try.

It is worth remembering that, not long ago, Samsung released One UI 6.0 with Android 14 for the Galaxy M33 5G. Additionally, the device should receive at least one more major operating system update in the coming months.
So in the near future, Galaxy M33 owners can expect to get the update to One UI 6.1, although Samsung has only confirmed this new version of the software for flagship devices launching in 2023.
