I just analyzed Samsung’s Galaxy A34, I can say that it has evolved compared to its predecessor, but there are still some things that need to be improved by Samsung, but following all, what’s wrong with the Galaxy A34? We analyze the main problems and absences that the A34 has in relation to competitors in the same price range and category.
Samsung Galaxy A34: Reasons NOT to buy
Reason 1: cameras
I tested it and the cameras are the first point we need to show, it has several inconsistencies. The main point where the A34 falls short is in low light photos, which is common to see in devices in this price range, however, the older brother A54 takes this issue seriously. In addition to leaving some night photos with excessive artificial clarity, there are failures in detecting the face when we take night selfies.

Continuing with the cameras we have selfies, which even with the beautification option turned off, the Galaxy A34’s camera software ends up “erasing” details of the face, leaving the skin excessively smooth and, therefore, looking unnatural. This is the second point that the A34 failed.

Reason 2: Charging Time
Despite having good battery life, charging time is a negative point. In our battery tests, the A34 did very well, it managed to complete and exceeded 7h45min of screen time, it did this while consuming 87% of battery, which means you will get more than a day with ease. But as always, on Samsung cell phones, the problem is charging. You’ve heard me complain regarding this a million times, and I’m going to keep picking on Samsung until they put a decent charger in the box.
Almost every cell phone we test here from other brands takes around 1 hour to charge the battery from 0 to 100%. Why do Samsung cell phones take twice as long, sometimes even longer than 2 hours? The times of slow charging are over, if you are a Redmi, POCO, Realme user, you know very well what I’m talking regarding.
Reason 3: Construction
Although it has an attractive design, the cell phone is entirely made of plastic, which may result in inferior durability and touch sensation when compared to devices with metal or glass construction. I even understand that to make the product cheaper, plastic material is the most viable option, however, Samsung does not send a protective cover in the box, this plastic tends to scratch easily and drops can easily hurt the edges of the product, leaving it or with an ugly appearance. Buy a cover to overcome this problem.
Reason 4: Screen edges and notch
The A34’s giant screen edges
The infamous notch, black outline around the selfie camera can be considered a less aesthetically pleasing aspect, old even I would say. It might be an attempt by Samsung to visually differentiate this device from the more expensive ones, in addition to this aesthetic look, the edges of the A line are too much, I have already criticized this in the A54, in the M54, in the A14 and I repeat it here.
Do these problems that I found in the A34 make the purchase unfeasible? I don’t think so, but the point that impacted me the most was really the cameras, we have the A54 with a set of cameras that are slightly better in terms of hardware, but in terms of image post-processing, much superior, all of this costing a difference of around 400 reais. It might be a lot, but we are dealing with a product with a glass finish and secondary cameras that do a better job. And what do you think of the problems presented, are they questionable or, given the price paid for the device, might they exist? I want to know your opinion, leave it in the comments.
