Samsung Galaxy A-series phones achieve fabulous sales and outperform all other categories of the company

Samsung Galaxy A-series phones accounted for the majority of smartphone sales last year, according to a new report from Counterpoint Research, which highlights growing demand for the company’s mid-range lineup.

Samsung Galaxy A series achieves very strong sales

According to Counterpoint Research, throughout 2021, Samsung Galaxy A-series devices accounted for 58% of Samsung’s smartphone sales. According to global phone model sales tracking, 59% of Samsung devices sold in the fourth quarter of 2021 were Galaxy A models.

The mid-range lineup also accounted for 56% of its sales in the first quarter, 60% in the second quarter, and 57% in the third quarter, indicating strong demand for many of Samsung’s best cheap phones.

The A Series has been the backbone of Samsung’s sales over the past few years, said Liz Lee, chief analyst at Counterpoint.

Lee noted that mid-range devices made up nearly two-thirds of all Samsung phones sold in 2021, including the Galaxy A31 and Galaxy A32 devices.

Lee added, “The devices have gained immense popularity globally and are performing well in markets as diverse as North America, Western and Eastern Europe, Latin America, the Middle East and Africa.

The report aligns with a previous report by the research firm, which stated that the Galaxy A12 was the best-selling Android smartphone worldwide in 2021. This means that the phone accounted for 2.0% of the total smartphone sales last year.

Notably, it was the phone from the South Korean tech giant that made Counterpoint’s list of the 10 best selling smartphones.
