Samsung has been registering a number of new trademarks recently, not just for products that will be released in a few months, but also for those that are still almost two years away, like the Galaxy S25 or the Galaxy Z Fold 7.
The South Korean giant has also filed trademark applications for other product categories such as smart rings and Augmented Reality glasses in recent months, but that’s not all. GalaxyClub has discovered a number of other applications in different countries, including one that confirms that the Galaxy S24 will be marketed as an Artificial Intelligence cell phone.
SamMobile exclusively reported Samsung’s plans to focus on artificial intelligence in its next flagship, and Samsung confirmed this shortly following by announcing the Galaxy AI experience, which would debut with the Galaxy S24 lineup and bring a host of AI features .
To show how serious the whole aspect of AI is, the company has filed trademark applications for names like AI Phone and AI Smartphone. These names are a bit generic, so Samsung may not receive these trademarks, but once more, it’s an excellent indication of how AI will be the buzzword when the Galaxy S24 series is announced in San Jose, California on January 17th. .
Samsung also hopes to secure some other trademarks, including trademarks on logos and names of things like Magic Pixel, Flex Magic and Flex Magic Pixel for augmented reality products, smartphone screens and televisions, with a special focus on AR glasses.
For now, we can only wait for official revelations, but Samsung appears to be one of the many technology giants betting all its chips on artificial intelligence.
What do you think of this trend in the technology industry to use artificial intelligence as a differentiator?
