A One UI 6.0 is bringing several major new features and others that are a little more subtle. In this sense, one of these changes that is less noticeable at first is the change in the name of Samsung’s gaming-related platform.
Previously called Game Launcher, the brand’s new system update changes the name to Gaming Hub, as seen on the South Korean TVs. Therefore, it may be that the company is preparing to boost its cloud gaming service also through Galaxy cell phones.
According to information from the portal SamMobile, the new feature will initially be implemented on Android 14 with the software update. However, devices running older operating systems will see this same change some time later. The brand’s new action seems to follow the same idea as others on the cloud gaming market, such as Netflix.
Be that as it may, the new feature still leaves something to be desired in relation to the resources available in the Gaming Hub service. However, the company has already stated that it intends to add more features that can be used with the platform, although it has not been clear whether these features include the addition of cloud gaming for interested users.
It is worth remembering that Samsung continues to be interested in enabling its electronics with the platform, as even 2020 models now receive the service. The most recent models, in turn, arrive with the Gaming Hub running from the factory.
