Samsung announces the manufacture of “Galaxy” devices from fishing nets

The South Korean company, Samsung, announced yesterday that it will start using discarded plastic and discarded fishing nets in its latest Galaxy devices.
And she indicated in an official statement that she will initially integrate the most sustainable material into the “Galaxy” devices, which will be unveiled on the ninth of February, before it begins to be fully circulated to its devices.
Samsung tends to think of plastic bottles and grocery bags as the main cause of ocean debris, but sees abandoned fishing gear as catching and killing marine life, including endangered species, such as the Hawaiian seal.
She noted that “more than 640,000 tons of fishing nets are disposed of every year, which is a problem that is getting worse,” she said.
It is noteworthy that “Samsung” is not the first company to integrate discarded waste into its devices, and last year, the American company “Microsoft” announced that it had manufactured a mouse made of 20 percent recovered plastic.
In 2019, under pressure from consumers and environmentalists, Samsung said it would start using more sustainable materials in its device packaging.
The Korean K-pop group BTS will participate in Samsung’s announcement of its new devices for 2022, which will be held on the ninth of February.
Last month, Samsung said it would unveil the next generation of Galaxy S phones, which it confirmed would combine the greatest Samsung Galaxy experiences into one final device, and added, “Get ready for the best Ultra experience.”
