Lazio overcame a victory that was within its reach once morest its host Sampdoria, to fall into the trap of a 1-1 draw on Wednesday in the fourth stage of the Italian Football League, which also saw Empoli tied with its guest Verona with the same result, and Udinese beat its guest Fiorentina 1 – zero.
Lazio scored through top scorer Ciro Immobile in the 21st minute, but Manolo Gabbiadini equalized for Sampdoria in the second minute of added time.
Lazio is in fourth place in the competition standings, following it has 8 points, while Sampdoria raised its score to two points in the sixteenth place temporarily until the end of the rest of the stage matches.
