The family tragedy unfolded on Holy Saturday morning. In fact, the 49-year-old herself notified the Police at around 08:30 in the morning, saying: “Come, I have killed my father.”
Patrol cars arrived immediately at the house on March 25th Street and the police found the unfortunate man covered in blood on the bed.
“I couldn’t take it anymore and I killed him,” were reportedly her first words to security officers after her arrest.
Neighbors said father and daughter had a troubled relationship, while relatives claim she had beaten him again in the past. “She had hit her father again at Christmas. This girl is very sick, she has a kind of schizophrenia, she has been off her medication for years now,” a relative of the victim told Star TV.
The perpetrator, according to the Star report, has lived most of the time with her father in Samos for the past 15 years, since she was divorced. The same information states that the father was trying to give the drugs to the 49-year-old by putting them in the food, while she thought he wanted to poison her. According to the police, this was also one of the reasons she was fighting with him.
A neighbor of the unfortunate 70-year-old, mentioned that he was a ship captain and besides his daughter, he also had a grandson about 20 years old. However, he emphasized that he did not have such a good relationship with the 49-year-old.
“The 70-year-old came to Samos separated with his daughter, who sometimes went to Athens. I had the impression that now she was not here, maybe she came for the holidays. Their relations were not so good, they had a disturbed relationship. But I didn’t imagine it would get to this point. The 70-year-old was living alone during this period,” their neighbor said.
