Samaragni: KPCC Public Rally Against Anti-People Rule of Central & State Governments

Thiruvananthapuram: The public rally ‘Samaragni’ organized by the KPCC once morest the anti-people rule of the central and state governments came to a rousing conclusion at Oommen Chandy Nagar in Putharikandam Maidani. The march led by senior leaders to the venue of the final meeting called for the organizational strength of the Congress. Activists including women rallied.

Band mela and roller skaters spread excitement in the procession which was lined up with folk art forms and chenda melas. Sevadal, Youth Congress, KSU, NGO association workers also participated. Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, who inaugurated the conference, moved the audience.

Telugu song and footage of his struggles were shown on the screens to welcome the inaugural party. Revanth Reddy’s speech called for the UDF to win all the seats in Kerala and severely criticized the state government as the Lok Sabha elections were approaching.

Sachin Pilot, a young leader, also praised the work of the Congress in Kerala. Sachin also criticized the Left government.

The Congress leadership clarified that they will do everything possible to intervene at the government level in the complaints submitted by the people in the public discussion forum which is a part of Samaragni. In the complaints, the issues to be presented in the Legislative Assembly, to be submitted to the Central Government and to start the agitation will be sorted and examined.

A special system will be set up in the districts to take further action on the complaints received. UDF has also decided to include the important suggestions received from the people in the manifesto. More than 30 public meetings were organized as part of Samaragni.
