“Sama” clarifies the purpose of the verification code that arrives on the beneficiary’s mobile… and warns against this matter

Al-Marsad newspaper: The Saudi Central Bank, “SAMA”, clarified that the verification code is a secret number that is used only once, and arrives via a text message to the beneficiary’s mobile number registered with the financial authority when requesting the implementation of a service.

He pointed out that the aim of the code is to prevent illegal access to the beneficiary’s financial accounts, as it is verified that the applicant for the service or financial product or access to the personal account is the owner of the actual account or the financial data provided.

He stressed that the verification code reaches the beneficiary when performing some financial operations, including logging into the bank account, purchasing a service from the Internet, performing financial transfers, requesting a financial product, adding and activating beneficiaries, resetting the password, and paying bills, warning once morest sharing the code with any A person who asks to be disclosed regardless of his capacity.
