The place is made for a game of contrasts: Helene Weinzierl choreographs a dance piece in the Steintheater in Hellbrunn for the Salzburger Sommerszene.

“The place is a challenge,” says Helene Weinzierl during a rehearsal break. Instead of a smooth stage floor, the six performers move on hard and slippery gravel. The weather has to play along so that the premiere can succeed. And the stony walls that delimit the area create its own condensed atmosphere: “We always have to work against it a bit so that the whole thing doesn’t get too difficult,” says the Salzburg choreographer.
