There were several injuries during the night of Saturday during fisticuffs in and in front of a bar in Salzburg’s Griesgasse. That’s what the police reported.
The violence broke out around 3 a.m. on Saturday. A 20-year-old man from Guinea is accused of punching a 26-year-old from Flachgau in the face during an argument in front of a bar on Griesgasse. A 20-year-old from Salzburg was also slightly injured in the arm in this argument.
The dispute may have started earlier in the restaurant because of a foreclosure in the cloakroom area. A 25-year-old from Freilassing had been injured on the dance floor in the same restaurant shortly before. A stranger punched him in the face. The injured man was taken to the Salzburg University Hospital with a suspected broken nose. The investigation is ongoing.
