Salzburg: Police had to arrest aggressive alcoholics at short notice

There was an escalation on Friday night in the city of Salzburg (Neustadt) when a police patrol wanted to stop a drunk driver.

It was just before midnight on Thursday. The police officers became aware of a 38-year-old from Salzburg in Neustadt when he wanted to drive away in a vehicle. The vehicle driver behaved more and more aggressively in the course of the check and refused the alcohol test.

He also refused to hand over the vehicle keys, which is why they had to be taken away from him. As a result, the 38-year-old behaved extremely recalcitrantly and aggressively towards the police, which is why he was arrested.

Then he lies down on the ground

The police officers then wanted to take the man to the patrol vehicle, but the 38-year-old lay on the ground and complained of health problems. For this reason, the Red Cross was requested.

In the presence of the paramedics, the man from Salzburg calmed down completely so that the arrest was lifted. The Salzburger did not go with the ambulance either. His driver’s license was taken from him and he is being charged with further administrative offences.
