The Ducks also clearly won their second game of the season in the Austrian Football League (AFL). Salzburg gave league newcomers Styrian Bears just one honor touchdown on their home debut on Saturday, while bringing the football into the end zone seven times themselves. Since the last extra point was not used, the match ended with 48:7.
Only the first pass didn’t sit
Salzburg dominated the game from the start, even when quarterback Kris Denton threw his first pass to the opponent. The American showed that he can do it much better only a little later when he served compatriot Cory Jones perfectly in the end zone. Even before the first change of sides, he found Maximilian Reuter with a long ball. In the second quarter, Noah Touré, who received the pass, and Stefan Niebler scored an extra point to make it 21:0.
Honor touchdown as a premiere
After the long break, the Styrian offensive, which had been completely canceled by then, found its way into the game a little better – but initially without being rewarded for it.
