The last day of the preliminary round on Thursday brought big surprises at the Salzburger Stier. While Seekirchen, Hallein and Grödig showed no weakness, the Salzburg league team Puch said goodbye without a win. HSV Wals caused the biggest sensation. And Bergheim also shone.
In Group G, state futsal champion Hallein marched through the preliminary round without much trouble. Last year’s final clearly defeated organizer Leopoldskron 7:1 and was unstoppable by Plainfeld (2:1) and Croatia Salzburg (2:0). Nevertheless, coach Christoph Lessacher’s team has to improve if they want to have a serious say in winning the tournament.
