The province of Salta carries out a Patagonian tour to promote tourism and chose Bariloche as one of the epicentersfor the sister link and air connectivity that will be resumed in July, exhibiting their dances and attractions in the emblematic Civic Center.
Dancers from a Salteño dance group, in their typical costumes, danced zamba and other traditional folkloric rhythms to exhibit part of the attractions of the province of Salta which also mounted its giant letters in front of the Andean municipality and played games with the residents, inviting them to discover the North of the country.
The delegation from Salta was headed by the Minister of Tourism and Sports, Mario Peña, and some 30 businessmen from the province who organized a “peña from Salta” for references from local travel agencies, authorities and the press. Before they were in neuquén with a similar promotion due to the direct connectivity that is maintained through the low cost JetSmart.
In Bariloche, Aerolíneas Argentinas began the direct flight with Salta two years ago and will now return to operations in Julywith a weekly frequency, as announced by the Minister of Tourism of the northern province, who remarked that this flight “helps position both of us.”
Peña affirmed that Bariloche is an example as a destination, he recalled that in the last edition of Previaje it was the most chosen city and on a provincial scale “Salta was the preferred destination of Argentines.”
“Salta and Bariloche carry out joint work for the receptive of international tourists, for which connectivity is essential.” He stressed that Salta has connections with 9 national and two international destinations.
«We are all in a difficult situation but we need to do our bit from where we are in order to generate more work through tourism“said the minister from Salta.
The mayor of Bariloche, Gustavo Gennuso, who participated in the “peña salteña” where musical shows, dance and typical gastronomy were held, valued the concept of a joint promotion. “You cannot promote in isolation. With Salta we incorporated that idea a long time ago, we not only connect two important destinations but two regions”.
In Bariloche, the delegation from Salta recognized the Pena Balderrama for its 70 years and for being part of the cultural and tourist richness of Salta.
