At the end of April 2023, 861 electric cars were sold in Russia. Such data was provided by the analytical agency Avtostat.
Thus, the results of April 2023 turned out to be almost five times more than in April 2022, when only 180 electric cars were sold. At the same time, sales of electric cars are growing from month to month this year.
Domestic Evolute in April entered the top three brands that sell electric vehicles: 187 such electric vehicles were sold in a month. It is slightly inferior to the German Volkswagen (198 units), which eventually became the leader. And the American Tesla rounded out the top 3 with a score of 123 units. Thus, these three brands account for almost 60% of all electric cars sold in April.
Among the models, the first five positions are occupied by Volkswagen ID.4 (119 units), Evolute i-PRO (95 units), Evolute i-JOY (92 units), Tesla Model Y (75 units) and Volkswagen ID.6 ( 70 pieces).
In the first four months of 2023, 2,472 new electric vehicles were sold, which is 2.5 times more than in January-April last year. Market leadership was shared by Evolute and Volkswagen, with sales of 552 units each.
Earlier, Autonews.ru reported that sales of new cars and trucks in Russia fell by 12% compared to the same period last year.
