One of the World Cup’s most famous goalkeepers, Mexico’s Guillermo Ochoa, joins Italian club Salernitana.
Today, Friday, Salernitana club, which is active in the Italian football league, “Serie A”, signed Mexico goalkeeper Guillermo Ochoa until the end of the current season.
Salernitana confirmed that he had reached an agreement with the goalkeeper, born in 1985, Ochoa, and that he had signed a contract until the end of June 2023, with the possibility of extending it for another year, and he would wear the number 13 shirt.
Ochoa is considered one of the symbols of the Mexico national team in the World Cup, as it participated in 5 versions of the World Cup, including the last tournament in Qatar.

Ochoa, nicknamed “Memo”, began his professional career in Mexico, before professionalism in the European continent with French Ajaccio, where he played for 3 seasons.
He continued his career in Spain with Malaga and Granada, before joining Belgian Standard Liege, and returned to Mexico in 2019, where he played with Club America.
Salernitana ranks 12th in the Italian League, with 17 points, and will host, on January 4, second-placed Milan, in the 16th round.
