Et if it was the solution once morest the difficult end of the month? According to an Opinion Way survey, of which The Parisian echoed, more than a third of French people would not be opposed to the end of the single monthly transfer of their salary. A way, for the 35% of French people concerned, to better manage their budget by sequencing their expenses more, while receiving the satisfactory transfer more often.
Among those under 35, the idea is even popular: 62% of young people are in favor of split payment. In detail, however, the French people concerned do not easily agree on the terms of payment in installments: 37% would be satisfied with two transfers per month, 27% would prefer to receive their salary every week, and 19% ‘among them would even go so far as to choose a remuneration by the day, with thus a daily payment.
A disadvantageous system for companies
At first glance, the system may indeed appear advantageous. But in reality, it would pose more problems than the monthly payment. A fortnightly or more regular transfer can certainly be suitable for daily expenses, on the other hand, for the most important fixed costs such as rent or the repayment of a loan, its implementation might greatly unbalance the accounts of the household concerned.
Furthermore, the system would also be disadvantageous for businesses. Editing a pay slip costs a company between 17 and 35 euros. Splitting payments would double or triple such costs, in addition to making life more difficult for human resources departments. In addition, the Labor Code requires monthly payment in most cases. It authorizes, however, recalls The Parisianan employee to request a deposit from his employer, as long as the requested advance does not exceed half of his usual salary.
