Mohamed Salah, the Liverpool star, decided to respond to the criticism he was subjected to, because of his desire to play once morest Real Madrid in the Champions League final.
Salah came out following the Reds beat Villarreal 5/2 in the Champions League semi-final second leg, to express his desire to play once morest Real in the final match, which was achieved following the rise of the Spanish club following its victory over Manchester City 6/5 in the total of the two matches.

The 29-year-old told Sky Sports: “If you ask everyone in Liverpool you will find that they wanted that match, I don’t know why we are not allowed to talk regarding it.”
He added, “I don’t mind talking regarding this, because I wanted to play this match before they face Manchester City in the semi-finals.”
He continued, “I do not give them more than their right, because they are an incredible team with a great coach and great players, so when they asked me I said Madrid, it is an easy answer.”
How regarding winning the Writers Guild Player of the Year award?
Salah scored 30 goals in the Reds shirt this season and assisted 15 others in 46 games, to receive the award for the best from the Writers’ Association, surpassing the Belgian Kevin de Bruyne.
About winning the award, the player said: “It’s a great feeling, first of all I would like to thank everyone who voted for me. Journalists are a big part of the football family and I hope we win more trophies this season.”
“I’m just trying to enjoy playing football and my time at the club, helping the team win titles and that’s the most important thing,” he explained.
As for the Golden Ball: “I lost the last time because I scored 40 goals and did not win any trophies. This time my numbers are high and we won a championship. If we get the next two championships, it will be interesting to see the winner of the award.”
