The musician, Salah Al-Sharnoubi, talked regarding the scenes of his artistic journey and the most prominent meetings and cooperation with senior Egyptian and Arab singers.
Al-Sharnoubi said during his interview with the program “From Egypt”, presented by the media Amr Khalil on CBC, that he graduated from the Faculty of Engineering, Department of Mechanics, Alexandria University, but he loved music and had a great passion for it, noting that he felt his musical talent since his preparatory studies.
The musician described the artist, Warda, as having opened “The Energy of Destiny” for him, a work that constituted a milestone in his artistic career, following collaborating in the song “Bitunis Bey”, and then presented the song “The Most Beautiful Need, My Spirit” with singer Ragheb Alama, and then In 1993, he collaborated with singer George Wassouf in the song “Kalam El Nas”.
Salah Al-Sharnoubi confirmed that he was fascinated by the artist Fadel Shaker, especially during the period when he was singing in shops in Lebanon before he became a star and he was traveling specially for him and “going mountains for him.” He continued, “I, George Wassouf and Wael Kfoury used to meet in a place where Fadel Shaker sings We are enjoying his voice, and I was lucky following that to compose several songs for him, the first of which is Laylat Min Al Layali Laila.”
Al-Sharnoubi revealed the scenes of his meeting with the artist Najat, and said: “I met her with the poet Muhammad Hamza and heard 4 songs from them, but she did not comment in the first song, then I heard the second song and she did not comment either, and when I asked her (What do you think?), she replied that there is a word in The first song might not be pronounced, and they left, but following years I spoke to him regarding the song “Atman” so that he would actually work with her and present it in the October victory celebrations.
