Baba, who will carry the Hinomaru on his back for the first time, said, “Inside me, it was my dream to play in a uniform with the Japan mark on it, so I’m happy. But I’m not under any pressure.”
There are two courses, Golf de Sant Nome and Le Golf. , There were many ponds, so I thought it was a strategic course,” he said of his impression.
After being coached by a national team coach for the first time, he said, “I had never used a sloped instrument, even on the green, so I thought it would be interesting to use it to be aware of the zero line. I was taught regarding positions and out positions,” he said.
Regarding his goal for the tournament, he said, “I’ve never played a team match before, so I didn’t know, but it’s fun for everyone, so I want to aim for the championship.”
Hashimoto said, “I want to enjoy playing with the three of us for four days, contribute to the team, and aim for a higher rank as an individual.”
Ueda said, “I want to do my best to contribute to the team. My goal is to win.”
On the 24th, Hashimoto will start at 3:00 pm Japan time, Baba at 3:11 pm, and Ueda at 3:22 pm, all starting from No. 1 at Le Golf Course (6317 yards, par 71).
