Saints looking to return home in Week 4 • FootballR

The New Orleans Saints have decided to continue training at TCU over the next week in preparation for their Week 3 game in New England to prepare before returning to their headquarters in the New Orleans area in week 4 before taking the New York Giants im Superdome be received.

The Saints have been in Dallas since Aug. 28, when they flew on hastily arranged charter flights to get ready Hurricane Idawhich was approaching the Louisiana coast and became a powerful Category 4 hurricane that shut down electricity throughout New Orleans for days and caused extensive damage to homes.

The Saints had to pull out of their final preseason game against Arizona and held their final preseason training sessions in AT&T Stadium ab, home of the Dallas Cowboys. In week 1, training was moved to TCU where the son of Headcoach Sean PaytonConnor, studied.

Although the Superdome survived the storm relatively unscathed, the Saints’ first home game was against Green Bay on September 12th Jacksonville, Fla., relocated. At the time this decision was made, the city could not be sure that it would have adequate services and facilities for an NFL game with a capacity of 73,000.

At the time of the decision to postpone the Week 1 game, which the Saints nevertheless won 38-3, the Superdome’s staffing situation was also uncertain.
