As tradition dictates, the Free University of Brussels (ULB) and the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB) are celebrating their founder, Théodore Verhaegen, this Monday, November 20, on the occasion of Saint-Verhaegen, or Saint-V. Various commemorations and festivities are planned.

Since midday, students from the ULB and VUB circles have been gathering on the Place du Grand Sablon to celebrate their founder. The procession will head, around 5:30 p.m., towards the Stock Exchange building to sing traditional university songs. The day will end with a banquet as well as the usual “TD Saint-V” at the Jefke.

The Brussels Capital – Ixelles police zone has indicated that traffic measures are in force to guarantee the safety of students.
