Saint-Mard: he finds a Lotto ticket in his car and wins 84,000 euros

The life of a man has changed, this Wednesday, June 29. A father from the region, used to the bookstore “Le jardin du Livre” in Saint-Mard (Virton) came to have his Lotto ticket validated. “He told me that he had found it, by chance, in his car”, explains Jimmy Thiery, the bookseller. And when the machine finally gives its verdict, it is amazement. “We did not know the amount right away, but we knew it was a large sum”ajoute Jimmy Thiery.

A forgotten ticket in a car

Finally, following a few checks, the amount won was €84,915.20. A very nice sum collected thanks to a small piece of paper “forgotten” in a car… “It’s been three years since I took over the bookshop and it’s the first time that we’ve earned such a sum. We have already had 500 € or 1000 €, but this gain is unprecedented”, comments the bookseller. Regarding the identity of the lucky winner, it remains, unsurprisingly, a mystery. The man did not specify to the bookseller which project(s) he intended to carry out with his gain. But we can imagine that he will certainly know how to use it wisely…
