Saint-Lieux-lès-Lavaur. Basque songs in church with Indara

Indara invites you to the church of Saint Lieux Les Lavaur on Friday September 30, 2022 at 9:00 p.m. Indara, whose Basque name means “strength, soul” was created in 1995 by some friends from the Toulouse region. Indara is now a group of thirteen singers placed under the direction of Pascal Lorenzon. Their repertoire, composed of traditional and religious Basque polyphonies, also leaves a large place for Orthodox, Russian and even Catalan singing because the singing of men is universal. Indara has found this expressive force whose emotion transports the public to these lands. and these mountains where the first word of man is song…The passion that drives them carries their powerful but nuanced voices from the depth and restraint of sacred song to the joy of the Basque festival. They stand out then merge in harmony and reveal the peace of the world. The art of singing here is fully inspired by the singers of Indara, enlightened and passionate amateurs. The group also shares with its public the joy of the traditional songs of the Basque festival to the sound of guitar and tambourine. Indara is also a heart of men who know how to respond present during certain humanitarian actions: Telethon, concerts for the benefit of the children of Rwanda or from Mali…Book your evening, you won’t regret it. Single price: 12 euros. More info regarding them on their website: indara.fr.
