Saint Hubert Hunting Horn Concert: A Spectacular Success with 130 Applauding Spectators

Initiated by Jean-Paul Huver, mayor of Voillecomte, the concert dedicated to Saint Hubert, patron saint of hunters, was a great success with nearly 130 spectators coming to applaud the bell ringers of the Les Echos du Vallage troupe.

For the Voillecomtois, this hunting horn concert which was held on Friday November 3, late in the followingnoon, in the Voillecomte church, was a very appreciated first.

As a preamble to this recital, a complete presentation of the association was made specifying, among other things, that it is made up of around twenty bell ringers under the presidency of Jean-Pierre Thanier. Then, the speaker retraced the entire history and evolution of the instrument over time. Then Jean-François Gerber, the presenter of the day, took the floor to explain that the concert was going to take place in two parts, the first dedicated to animals and the second called a fantasy fanfare.

At the end of this concert, exceptional in its beauty, Jean-Paul Huver expressed his thanks to the troupe as well as to the spectators for their participation.

Before heading to the town hall, where an aperitif offered by the municipality was served, the bell ringers played a final piece entitled “La Billebaude”.

A magnificent concert of hunting horns, played by nine pipers including three young brothers, Valentin, 16 years old, Stan and Lucas, both 13 years old.

Nearly 130 spectators came to applaud the bell ringers of the “Les Echos du Vallage” troupe.
