The moment of truth is fast approaching. While the Old Port of Cannes is getting a makeover until 2027, the now traditional Yachting Festival has largely moved opposite: to the PortCanto(our edition of February 7). Until now used by two-thirds during previous editions, its capacity will this time be exploited to the maximum to exhibit the “355 new motor units from 12 to 45 meters”The Old Port, for its part, will still be able to accommodate 120 ships.

“The pontoons and tents are taking their final place to accommodate boats and stands, thanks to the support of our partners and service providers”proudly informs the press release of the event, which has been slowly taking place since August 12.

Six days of exhibition – the festival will end on Sunday, September 15 – during which amateur and experienced sailors will be able to admire the 700 or so “monohulls, multihulls, rigid or semi-rigid hulls”or other toys and water toys.

A simplified visit

Several crossings – pontoons with a motorized central section – should allow visitors to move from one quay to another, assisted if necessary by free maritime shuttles. Another new feature that we unveiled at the beginning of the year, visitors will be able, for the first time, to go around the entire Port Canto, a loop of 2.5 kilometers.
