The injury is not serious
X-rays revealed that the injury was not serious. X-ray showed no fracture of the leg. However, it is reported that five-six days of rest will be required. Another fact is that following five-six days of rest, Sahl Abdul Samad is unlikely to reach the ISL arena. Because the opening match of ISL is on October 7. India x Vietnam match was on 27th. If less than a week of rest is enough, Sahl Abdul Samad can reach the field on October 4-5. If that happens, perhaps the Malayali attacking midfielder will play in the Kerala Blasters x East Bengal opening match.
His method
According to Kerala Blasters FC manager Ivan Vukomanovic’s style, Sahal Abdul Samad may have to sit out the opening match. Because Ivan Vukomanovic is not the type to aggravate injuries by putting players on the field before they are fully healed. Sahal Abdul Samad scored six goals and assisted one goal in the 2021–2022 ISL, Ivan Vukomonovic’s first season with Kerala Blasters FC.
