The objective of this article is to present the associated occupational risks and the necessary recommendations for three categories of additive manufacturing processes using powdery materials and requiring activation energies that can be high, such as those of lasers: the projection of binder, fusion on a powder bed and the deposition of matter under concentrated energy. For this, a section is dedicated to each category and details all the phases of the production chain: storage and preparation of the material, printing of the part, post-processing operations (removal of supports, depowdering, etc. ) and finishing (polishing, painting, etc.).
Recommendations are organized according to the standard XP E67-006 from July 2020 through the layout of the premises, the management of the processes, then the organization. It is important to remember that this analysis concerns normal working conditions and not accidental conditions. In addition, the recommendations presented in this article are specific to the three categories of processes presented and complement the general recommendations detailed in the article. [BM 7 995].
Given the rapid evolution of the sector, this article does not claim to provide an exhaustive list of materials and implementation steps. The order in which operations are carried out may be revised according to operational constraints and the technical specificities of the parts to be manufactured. Nevertheless, it is a practical aid for securing additive manufacturing processes.
