Asuncion, IP Agency.- This Friday, at the headquarters of the Ministry of Public Works and Communications (MOPC), a logistics coordination meeting was held in view of the inauguration of the Costanera Sur. On the occasion, representatives of several state institutions agreed to prioritize aspects related to security, hydration and sports.
The launching event is scheduled for Saturday, July 20, starting at 9:00 a.m. and on two wheels, as it invites all families to attend a big bike ride. In addition, starting at 4:00 p.m., there will be a ribbon cutting and a concert by the group Tierra Adentro.
During the meeting, emphasis was placed on the security that will be provided to attendees throughout the day, both on land and at sea, since this proposal seeks to involve the true owners of the work: the citizens of the entire country, so, just like the inauguration of the Héroes del Chaco Bridge, massive participation is sought.
Representatives from the National Sports Secretariat (SND) will also have 13 sports available: karate Do, chess, dance therapy, athletics, artistic gymnastics, handball, judo, fencing, ITF taekwo-Do, football and futsal, skating, zumba and volleyball.
There will also be a stand for the National Agency for Traffic and Road Safety (ANTSV) and the Highway Patrol, which will be part of the road awareness campaign.
Hydration will also be ensured for cyclists and the general public, as stands from the Paraguayan Sanitary Services Company (Essap) will be set up to distribute bottles of drinking water.
Representatives from the MOPC, SND, Highway Patrol, Essap, Antsv, Municipal Traffic Police (PMT), Naval Prefecture and the First Infantry Division participated in the logistics coordination meeting.
The Costanera Sur is 8 kilometres long and people can complete it by pedalling. The aim is that, in addition to promoting sporting activities and walking, participants should learn regarding this project.
