For this return to face-to-face activities, the Human Medicine and Electrical Engineering units, through the Center for Research and Innovation in Biomedicine and Informatics (CIIBI-UAZ) and the Zacatecan Council of Science and Technology (COZCyT), make available to the institution the Safe Return app.
In this regard, the coordinator of the Clinical Area, Internship and Social Services of Human Medicine, Oscar Meza commented that in these times the doctor must go hand in hand with technology, and the app is a tool that will help for a safe return.
For his part, the professor of Electrical and Industrial Engineering, José María Celaya, indicated that the application was developed jointly with Human Medicine, who validated both national and international protocols; and where through this tool it is possible to know if a student or teacher is at risk of infecting their classmates, and through the generation of a Qr code their entry is validated.
As students they will be able to generate their account and every day they attend the university facilities they must answer a survey, which at the end will generate a Qr access code, which will be verified by the teacher at the entrance of the classroom or by the instance where go to carry out some administrative procedure.
Teachers will be able to generate their account and every day they come to teach classes they will be able to validate their students’ Qr at the entrance of the classroom, recommending entry to those who present a “green Qr”, which will indicate that the young person does not present symptoms or suspicion of COVID.
Orange or red Qrs are indicative of suspicion, so it is better to recommend attending a medical consultation for review and follow-up.
The part of the development of the Safe Return app was in charge of the student of
Doctorate in Engineering Sciences, Jorge Alejandro Morgan, who stated that the decision was made for it to be a web application, to avoid problems with the devices, since the reading of the QR is from cell phone to cell phone.
The director of the Academic Unit of Human Medicine, Rosa Martha Covarrubias, thanked those who generated the idea of this app, such as Dr. Oscar Meza and all those who collaborated on it.
The Regreso Seguro app can be found on the page www.regresoseguro.org and is available to all university students.
