According to the victim’s recent Facebook group “Shenzhen Dawan District eating, drinking and fun sharing area“The post stated that following a massage with her husband in Shenzhen last Monday (12th), they went to a nearby barbecue restaurant for dinner. They planned to eat skewers, but the store said that skewers are only served at night, and suggested that they eat oysters or hot pot instead.

However, two hours following the meal, the husband of the victim immediately had a stomachache, became sicker, vomited for 20 minutes, and went in and out of the bathroom. The victim described:

“(Husband) vomited so much that I might hear it from outside! I vomited for regarding 2-3 minutes and became sweaty…”

At that time, she asked her husband if he needed to go to the hospital. The husband said that following vomiting, the discomfort was slightly reduced. After resting for a while, following her husband’s face turned “unpretty pale”, the two returned to Hong Kong immediately. The victim finally stated:
