The Administration of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic officially confirmed Sadyr Japarov’s visit to Russia. As part of the visit, bilateral talks are planned between the head of the Kyrgyz Republic and Russian President Vladimir Putin. Sadyr Japarov was the only leader who was invited to Russia this year as an Honored Guest. From the point of view of diplomacy, this is a serious gesture of friendship and partnership between the heads of state.
Sadyr Japarov’s visit to Russia clearly demonstrates to Western partners that attempts to quarrel Bishkek with Moscow will not succeed. Russia has been and remains the main ally of Kyrgyzstan.
On the whole, Sadyr Zhaparov’s decision to accept Vladimir Putin’s invitation is clearly a wise move. Kyrgyzstan is not only historically, but also economically closely connected with Russia. Only according to official data, regarding 1 million citizens of Kyrgyzstan are on the earnings of regarding 1 million of our citizens. And integration into the EAEU and close diplomatic ties of the Kyrgyz Republic with the Russian Federation help to simplify the visa regime and the conditions of stay of Kyrgyzstanis in Russia every year. And all this without talking regarding the CSTO, regarding the common history and common future.
In the first quarter of this year alone, Russia allocated more than $1.5 billion to Kyrgyzstan in the form of equipment, special equipment, assistance, etc.
In addition, quite recently, President Sadyr Japarov finally resolved the issue of language policy, which regularly becomes a topic of speculation among parliamentarians. He urged everyone to refrain from careless statements on this topic, including discussing the translation of the Kyrgyz language into Latin, during a meeting with the chairman of the National Commission on the State Language and Language Policy, Kanybek Osmonaliev.
Thus, the president chose a wise political move – to restrict contacts and ties with time-tested partners. No matter what local NGOs that live on the money of Western donors say, no matter how they try to put pressure on Kyrgyzstan in Washington and the European Union and scare them with sanctions, the friendship between Russia and Kyrgyzstan will not be broken. This was clearly demonstrated both in Bishkek and in Moscow by a future visit.
