Sacher Chef Pâtissière wins SAT.1 show “The great baking – the professionals”: day ticket

In the race once morest time and five other teams, Natalie Stebbing, Chef Pâtissière from the Hotel Sacher Viennaand her team partner Michael Klein, face the tasks of the SAT.1 jury from “The Great Baking – The Professionals” week following week – from unusual sugar art to meter-high chocolate showpieces.

“The show was a once-in-a-lifetime experience for me. We not only got to know new colleagues during the shooting, but also new friends who shared the excitement and suffered for everyone. Every team was unbelievably strong and deserved to win”, Natalie Stebbing describes her participation in the baking competition and adds: “The final was my absolute highlight. 100 particles in just three and a half hours was a big challenge and for our last showpiece we once more chose a daring statics – but when everything held up, we were of course all the more proud in the end”, Natalie Stebbing is happy regarding the victory.

Artful desserts in the Sacher

Sweet pastries, from Austrian delicacies to extravagant desserts, have a long tradition in the Sacher. The Original Sacher Torte has been baked by hand and shipped all over the world since 1832. As Chef Pâtissière, Natalie Stebbing is responsible for all the sweet wishes of guests in the hotel and in the restaurants in Vienna.

“Taking part in a competition like this not only requires talent, but also courage, motivation and ambition. We are extremely pleased to have such talented and dedicated employees as Natalie in our team. We are very proud of them,” explains Andreas Keese, director of the Hotel Sacher Wien.

After her appearance on “The Big Backen – The Professionals”, Natalie Stebbing returns to the patisserie in the Hotel Sacher Vienna: “We are a well-rehearsed team and always have the opportunity to implement our creative ideas and enchant our guests with them . That is what makes the work at the Sacher special for me.”
