Sabarimala Guruthi Puja and Ceremony at Malikpuram: A Culmination of Devotion

Sabarimala ∙ Guruthi was held at Malikpuram to mark the end of the darshan of lakhs of pilgrims who made a wave of devotion at Sannidhanam. The darshan of the devotees was completed last night with dinner pooja. After that, Guruti Puja and Guruti were held to compensate for the decrease in the spirit of the deity due to the Makarvilak Utsavam.

After the opening of the evening, the preparations for Guruti started in front of Mani Mandapam. After Ayyappa Swami’s dinner pooja, Devaswom Executive Officer V. Krishnakumar, Administrative Officer O.G.Biju and representatives from Pandalam Palace arrived and started the ceremony by lighting lamps and lanterns. Kumbalanga was cut and Guruti was performed. ‘Ninam’ made with turmeric powder and lime was hung to impress the mountain gods and demons.

With this, the darshan of the Ayyappas during the pilgrimage to Mandala Makarvilaka was completed. The road will be closed at 6 am today.
