Ryanair’s Flights to Jordan: Updates on Social Conflict with Belgian Pilots and Potential Strikes

Specifically, Ryanair will operate four flights per week from Belgium to the Jordanian capital from November 1.

The airline has been embroiled in a social conflict with its Belgian pilots since the end of the Covid-19 pandemic, during which the latter conceded a cut in their wages to support the company, then at a standstill.

But, since the end of the health crisis, the unions have taken action to demand the restoration of wages as well as to denounce problems concerning the rest time of pilots. Despite several meetings with management, no way out of the impasse has yet been found.

Two strikes have already marked Charleroi airport this summer and others might be organized by the end of the year. These pilot actions impact flights operated from Belgium, which should be the case for trips to Jordan.
