The couple also has to incur new expenses for their trip. “We finally have to leave on Wednesday. So we had to buy a ticket once more. We had to rent a new hotel for one night.“In total, the couple spent €200 more than planned, without forgetting the day off they had to take and which will impact their salary.
No news from Ryanair
While they were leaving with the company to celebrate their wedding, they now find themselves stressed because of the strike. “We understand that the strikers are trying to recover their wages, but unfortunately we can’t do anything regarding that. During this time, we pay the costs. They might find other solutions than impacting travelers” they express.

They are still waiting for news from Ryanair regarding the potential reimbursement of the costs that this strike has generated, but so far, they have had no news. “We have not received an email to confirm the strike. When we try to contact them, no response.“
They have also tried to contact Charleroi airport, but each time they are put on hold and “it’s 1€ per minute, so these are still additional costs” they explain.
