The Irish low-cost company Ryanair does not offer a connection between Tours and Dublin on its website for 2024. The airport manager mentions a conflict between the company and its Irish counterpart around taxes on passengers.

Boarding is not immediate for Dublin, at Tours airport. According to information from our colleagues on the site InfotoursRyanair cancels the connection between the two airports.

Collateral damage from a conflict between the low-cost company and the Irish airport around a tax on passengers. Ryanair considers it too important, Dublin does not want to negotiate.

For 2024, it is in fact impossible to book a flight between Tours and Dublin on the company’s website. This seasonal connection took off nearly 17,500 passengers between April and October 2023.

Edeis, the airport’s managing company, confirms the information, specifying that negotiations are underway to offer this destination once more, and new ones, with other companies.

A chopping block which makes Edeis look grim, since it aims to double the number of visitors to Tours airport by 2035. 180,000 travelers passed through there last year.

The signing of the public service delegation to the manager in September imposes a double constraint on Tours airport: increase its number of passengers, while receiving fewer subsidies.
