Since “Fawlty Towers”, the famous TV series from the 1970s with John Cleese as both choleric and incompetent hotel owner, the coastal town of Torquay has hardly been in the public eye. That changed during the week, at least temporarily: at the end of April, Torquay hosted Wrexham AFC on the last day of the National League, the fifth British division. There were people who waited twelve hours outside the office in Torquay to secure tickets for this match. It was sold out within three minutes.
