Ruta de la Soberanía has signed contracts for its four lots

Asuncion, IP Agency.- The Ministry of Public Works and Communications (MOPC) signed the contract with the company awarded Lot 3 of the Ruta de la Soberanía, thus beginning a new stage in this emblematic project.

According to the report from the Ministry of Works, the third lot was awarded by resolution 1081/24 to the firm Calzada Construcciones SA, for an amount of G. 384,595 million. Thus, the contracts for the four lots that make up this project have already been signed and are in progress.

Lot 1, worth G. 391,554 million, belongs to the TC Consortium, made up of Construpar SA and Tecnoedil SA Constructora; Lot 2 belongs to the TEC Consortium, made up of Ecomipa SA, Concret Mix SA and Tocsa SA, worth G. 349,929 million, and the fourth lot is being built by the Soberano Consortium, of which T&C, Constructora Isacio Vallejos and Rovella Carranza are part.

This initiative involves paving 221 km of the PY17 route, of which 193.3 km correspond to the main axis, 7 km to urban crossings and 21 km to ring roads, connecting Pedro Juan Caballero, Zanja Pyta, Capitán Bado, Itanará and Ypejhú, on the border with Brazil.

Cadastre and appraisal stage begins

The work schedule establishes six months for the land survey and appraisal, followed by 24 months for road construction. A maintenance period of 60 months has also been stipulated after the acceptance of the works, ensuring the durability and quality of the infrastructure.

It is expected that around 2,000 people will be directly involved in the construction, while another 6,000 will benefit indirectly. In addition, 1,000 officials will be responsible for cleaning and maintaining the road for 5 years.
