KIEV – Four people were killed in Friday’s attack by Russia on the densely populated cities of Kryvyi Rih and Kherson in central Ukraine. 76 missiles were fired. Ukraine’s military chief claimed to have shot down 60 of them.
This is considered to be the most powerful missile attack ever carried out by Russia. A missile hit a residential complex in Krivi Ria, killing 3 people. One person also died in Harsan. Meanwhile, Russian officials in the occupied zone said 12 people had been killed in shelling by Ukraine.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Russia has other deadly weapons. He asked Western allies to provide Kiev with better air defense systems. Russia is also accused of planning a more powerful attack by early next year.
Russia launched a massive attack on Ukraine’s electricity supply system. The Minister of Electricity disclosed that 9 generating stations were damaged. Electricity supply is disrupted in the country. Ukraine’s second-largest city, Harkiv, has also been hit by power outages.
