Russia is preparing free trade agreements with Morocco and other North African countries, President Vladimir Putin has announced.

A few days following the holding of the Africa-Russia Summitin Saint Petersburg, the Russian President Vladimir Putin announced that his country, in the process of preparing free trade agreements with several North African countries, including Morocco, reports the Sputnik agency.

“We are preparing agreements on a free trade Area With l’Egyptthe Moroccothe Tunisial’Algeria. It’s all of North Africa. There are many more development prospects on the African continent and there are very interesting countries. So under no circumstances should we miss other regions,” said Poutine Wednesday during a meeting with government officials. And to add: “We have all seen with you that they treat the Russia as a friend, and we treat them african countries like friends, we need to turn that level of political trust into economic cooperation“.

L’Africa is huge and should develop “in a very positive way, catching up with what has been lost” in previous decades, assured the russian presidentciting experts in African studies, noting that the issue of cooperation with the continent should be approached holistically.
