On Saturday, the Russian TASS news agency reported, quoting an unnamed source, that the Russian lower house of parliament (the State Duma) may hold deliberations on September 29 on bills to integrate Russia-annexed parts of Ukraine.
Russia began referendums on joining it in four occupied regions of Ukraine, on Friday, prompting condemnations from Kyiv and Western countries, which described the referendums as sham and vowed not to recognize their results.
Voting is scheduled to end on Tuesday.
